Earlier this year I spent five days in a recording booth at Blue Rhode Studios in North Hollywood, California. I hadn’t read Alien in the Mirror aloud since an event last year, and many times during the year after it was published — at various bookstores and other venues, and a beautiful launch party given by a dear friend.

During the week of recording, as I read through the chapters, the memories of all the folks I interviewed, their candor and their generosity in sharing their experiences with me, came flooding back - as did the writing, and the experience of putting all the pieces of the puzzle together for what finally, after five years, became a book.

Because it was both an emotional and a happy experience for me to narrate the book — [and a learning one, as well - I’m grateful to my recording engineer Andrew De Lucia for his patience and all his help] — the audio version of the book is very special to me.

I invite you to visit Audible online and listen to the free 5-minute sample, which is the book’s introduction - excerpted briefly at the end of the page on this site titled Books / Alien in the Mirror.
